If you are using an HP Officejet Pro 9010 Series printer, you might also have faced this offline problem with the printer. However, as the technology is updating, problems are also changing with the printers. So the customer who is using this HP Officejet Pro 9010 printer are facing some problem with the wireless connection. Due to this HP Officejet pro 9010 series printer keeps going offline.

Why does my HP Officejet 9010 keeps going offline?

There is a straightforward reason behind this problem. If you have any loose connection between your devices, your HP 9010 printer shows you an Offline message. HP Officejet Pro 9010 printer uses a wireless connection between computer and router. So if you have changed your router password or your printer is connected to a different network, you will also face this problem. So in simple words, you must check all the connections for your wireless printer.

Steps to Fix HP Officejet Pro 9010 Series Printer Offline

  • Hard reboot your HP Officejet Pro 9010 series printer.
  • Go to wireless Settings>Wireless setup wizard.
  • Now Select the name of your wifi and enter the password for it.
  • Here your printer will connect to wifi again.
  • Open HP Smart and delete the old printer.
  • Now add a new printer in the HP Smart app.
  • It will bring your HP 9010 printers offline to online.

If you still face any problems with fixing this issue, you can contact HP Customer support for more help.

      Hi Leo
If you have a new router, then you have to simply connect the HP Officejet 9010 printer to the new router. Coz your printer is picking up the old router IP address. And right now you have a new router. So do this thing and restart the printer. It will start printing. In case it doesn’t print then update the printer driver.

        Hi Emily
I am also facing the same printer offline issue, but in my case, I have the same router and it is connected to the router. still, I am not able to print. If I print from my phone it prints fine but not with my laptop.

Can you suggest what to do next?

          Hi Amelia
If everything is connected properly in that case you have to check the driver of the printer. You can simply update the drivers and restart the printer. Coz due to the latest windows update driver doesn’t respond to the printer. In that case, we have to update them.

My printer now shows offline despite it being connected by USB all the time I have used it. Have cycled printer and computer, changed USB port on PC but still offline

My HP OfficeJet pro 9010 goes “offline” every time I try to print. When I open the HP Smart Printing window, it starts with “printer status unknown” and then switches to “Ready and Security Monitored.” However, it keeps going back to “offline.” I’ve tried turning it off and unplugging it for a minute, then plugging it back in. Sometimes this works, but other times it doesn’t. I’m really frustrated because the printer is right next to my computer and router, so I don’t understand why Wi-Fi would be an issue. HELP.

If you are still facing the printer offline issue on the HP Officejet pro 9010 series printer then you have to assign a manual IP address on your router. You can check the last comment how to do that.

Officejet pro 9010 Series (9018) is offline, printer control panel is stuck on Instant Ink message! My Officejet Pro 9018 is offline. I’ve tried restarting both my router and the printer, but nothing works. Most solutions I found on HP Support suggest using the printer control panel, but it’s stuck on an Instant Ink message because the printer is offline.

The message says: “Cartridge cannot be used until the printer is enrolled in HP Instant Ink.” It is enrolled, but since the printer is offline, it can’t communicate with HP. I’m in a catch-22 situation.

For about a month, the printer has gone offline periodically. I could usually fix it by restarting the print spooler or the printer. How can I reconnect the printer to my router without being able to use the control panel?

HP 9010 Printer goes offline, won’t show up on my iphone or Windows 11 PC. I bought an HP Officejet 9010 to replace my old HP printer, but the 9010 keeps going offline. It doesn’t show up as an option on AirPrint from my mobile device, and on my desktops, it either doesn’t show up at all or appears as offline. I think it might have something to do with sleep mode shutting off all accessibility. The firmware is supposed to be up to date.
